As we celebreat our 35th Anniversary and look forward in hope to our
future, we realize that we are so much more than the buildings we occupy.
We are truly a faith-filled community of great diversity. We are emissaries
of the Gospel message in our ministries. We are the beacons of Christ's
light as we pray and celebrate the sacraments we share. We look forward
to our future with excited anticipation. God indeed has a plan for our faith
community. We continue to grow as a communito of theLord's love and to
be present to all who seek a closer relationship with God. May God
continue his many blessings on our community.

Dear friends,

The Church of the Resurrection
began as a faith community on
May 8, 1970 when Fr. Joseph
Finnerty was commissioned by
Bishop Leo Maher to come to
Escondido to spread the Good
News of Jesus Christ to the
community of north Escondido.
From Mass said in the humble
beginnings of Fr. Finnerty's
garage, to the dedication of the
current church in 1973, the
Church of the Resurrection has
been a community of faith
welcoming all who entered its
doors.
